iPad 3 To Be Unveiled March 7?
Get ready folks, the iPad 3 rumor mill just went in to overdrive. Invitations for a March 7 event were sent out to journalists on Tuesday, featuring the above photo and caption, leaving many to assume that the gathering will be the official unveiling for the iPad 3.
In addition, Apple.pro is reporting via The Street that it has obtained Apple shipping manifests showing large shipments coming from Chengdu, China, the site of the Foxconn factories that produce Apple electronics. The alleged shipments are scheduled to arrive on March 9.
The Street is also reporting that tech retailer Best Buy has pulled the iPad 2 from displays; and the Best Buy website does seem to be offering all iPad 2s at a discount ($50 off), a common tactic when trying to clear an older product off the shelves.
Rumors about the latest iPad itself include a new display, a quad-core processor, and LTE compatibility.
Of course, the world could be setting itself up for a surprise (and some disappointment). Other products possibly in the works, that could be receiving their unveiling next week instead of the iPad 3, include a new Apple TV and a mini iPad.
What do you think Apple will reveal on March 7?
