Jimmy Fallon And Bruce Springsteen Cover “Sexy And I Know It”
Who knew that LMFAO’s party song “Sexy And I Know It” was a working class anthem? At least that’s how it sounds in the hands of Neil Young (as played by Jimmy Fallon) and Bruce Springsteen.
Fallon is spot on with Young’s super serious, nasal tenor, which makes even a song about tanning one’s cheeks sound like a plaintive cry for help. And The Boss is game for anything as a sleveless, bandana-ed, stonefaced version of himself from his 80′s glory days (though every day is a glory day for Springsteen).
The performance capped off a whole Springsteen Week on the show, featuring other performances by the rock legend, as well as appearances by Elvis Costello and Kenny Chesney. But none got the attention of this latest act.
The audience seemed to love it too. They aren’t booing at the end; those are to signature calls from Springsteen fans of “BRUUUUUUUUCE!”
What do think of Fallon’s parody?
