As we previously told you, Coco (aka Mrs. Ice-T) inadvertently caused a public uproar last month when she tweeted a picture of herself sleeping nude in bed with her 6-month-old nephew. Following the incident, the blonde bombshell addressed the controversy (again, via Twitter), saying:

“I need to take a moment & speak my mind about the pic I posted with my nephew that people are making it a bigger thing than it is. I took the pic down because people were twisting the story & makin it into something that wasn’t.”

During a recent interview with CherryOnTop, Coco went further into detail about people “twisting the story” and specifically called out TMZ as one of the culprits. She said:

“In our heads, it was a beautiful moment. Now when TMZ got a hold of it, and TMZ twisted it into a perverted thing. Let me tell you, before it got into TMZ’s hands, everyone on my Twitter page, especially the girls, were like, ‘Oh, that’s so beautiful. That’s a beautiful picture; I do that with my kids.’ But once someone twisted the story, everybody had got outraged about it. It was beautiful in the very beginning until someone said something bad about it. It was just one of those moments, but you know what, I took it down, and everybody was on me about that too because I took it down. I didn’t want there to be more of a story, and I shouldn’t have because people were like, ‘Oh, well if you took it down, then why are you embarrassed with it now?’ So what I did is I explained my two cents on Twitter, and I reposted it. So I’m not embarrassed by it, I just didn’t want people causing like such a chaotic mayhem about it. I mean really, it’s nothing.”

Personally, I think the whole brouhaha was unwarranted. As Coco also mentioned in her CherryOnTop interview, her BABY nephew is the same one she helped deliver in the first season of Ice Loves Coco 6 months ago, so I’m sure she shares a special bond with him. Besides, it’s not like the boy is 16, and this is Coco we’re talking about here…when is she not naked??
