Blake Griffin’s Nike Zoom Hyperdunk “All-Star” PE Sneakers Are Finally Revealed
There were a handful of pretty dope sneakers that NBA players wore during the 2012 NBA All-Star Game. In the weeks leading up to and directly after the game, we showed a lot of them to you. Many of them weren’t available in stores—and some were super hard to find, if they were—but we did our best to give you a closer look at what different players were going to be wearing.
Unfortunately, Blake Griffin was not one of those guys. We figured BG would be wearing something pretty fresh for the game. And he was—a pair of Nike Zoom Hyperdunk “All-Star” PE sneakers. But we didn’t really get a good look at them because Nike didn’t officially release them. And after a few weeks, we kind of gave up hope of ever seeing them again. Until these images hit the ‘net.
As you can see, Griffin’s Hyperdunks are comprised of a light green upper, a bright orange Swoosh, multicolored laces, and a “Galaxy” theme that would have fit right into the “Galaxy” pack that Nike released over the All-Star Weekend. We’re sad to say that our suspicions were correct and Nike won’t be releasing these in stores anytime soon. But at least you can look at them and dream about what it might be like to wear a pair, right? Look below for another image of the kicks. Maybe next year Nike will get it together and release Griffin’s sneakers to the public. But, until then, these flicks will have to do.
