Under Armour Announces Their “St. Patrick’s Day” Collection
In case you haven’t been keeping an eye on the calendar, you should probably know that tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day. Translation: You’re gonna need something green to wear to the parade or bar that you’re going to—and, if you’re anything like us, green isn’t exactly your color. But, rules are rules, and if you’re planning on sipping on green beer all day, you need to show your love for the Irish by rocking an outfit that incorporates the color green. And while we can’t help you when it comes to picking out the perfect green outfit, we can point you in the right direction for your green footwear.
Last week, we told you about the adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 St. Patrick’s Day sneakers. And if you can get your hands on them, those are still great. But Under Armour is also releasing a special “St. Patrick’s Day” collection that’ll also allow you to show off your Irish pride through your sneakers and they’re pretty great, too. For the big day, UA has recreated their Micro G Bloodline, Micro G Supersonic, and Micro G Juke sneakers in dark and light green colorways to help you celebrate. They’ll be worn on the court by Derrick Williams, Greivis Vasquez, and DeAndre Jordan respectively as well as the South Florida and Loyola college basketball teams who will be participating in the 2012 NCAA Tournament this week.
We’re not sure we’d recommend wearing any of these sneakers in these particular colorways on any day outside of St. Patrick’s Day. But if you are attending a parade or a party on Saturday—or simply hitting up the bar to raise a toast—we recommend lacing a pair of these up. On St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish. And you can make that perfectly clear by rocking all green from head…to toe.
