Richard “Rip” Hamilton Shows Off His Sick Collection Of Air Jordans

Richard Hamilton—better known as “Rip” Hamilton to NBA fans—isn’t playing right now. Although he’s supposed to be lighting other teams up as a member of the Chicago Bulls, he’s been suffering through a shoulder injury that’s prevented him from playing much this season. But that doesn’t mean that Rip isn’t still balling in other aspects of his life. Specifically, the former Detroit Piston jumped on Twitter last weekend to show off his absolutely awesome collection of Air Jordans. If you look closely, there are just stacks and stacks and stacks of AJs in a room at his house. You could build a fort out of all the boxes he has and you’d still have an entire collection of boxes left over. There are literally dozens and dozens of them stacked up on one another.

You shouldn’t be surprised by any of this, though. Rip is actually a Team Jordan athlete and can get his hands on just about any Jordan sneaker that he wants. The Air Jordan IV “Cement”? One call away. The Air Jordan XI “Concord”? Yep, we’re sure they’re in there somewhere. Some custom joints that were never even released in stores? Yeeeeeeeah, buddy! Being a Team Jordan athlete definitely has its advantages. And free sneakers has to be the number one perk.

So, if had to guess what kind of Air Jordans Rip has hidden away in all those boxes, what would you say? And, how do you feel about the fact that Rip has all of those boxes just sitting at his house? Shouldn’t he—oh, I don’t know—hold some kind of contest and give a few of the boxes away to fans? We sure hope he does it soon. Because we’d love to see what he’s got stored away in his collection of kicks. Take a look at the other side of the room pictured above in the photo below.
