C.C. Sabathia Will Be Wearing These Air Jordan Melo M8 Cleats On Opening Day
Don’t look now, but it’s almost time for Major League Baseball to throw out their first pitch! After a long winter filled with trade, signings, and other transactions, the baseball season will officially start on April 4th when the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins christen the Marlins new home stadium. The following day, there will be six more season-opening games. And by the following weekend, every single MLB team will be kicking off their seasons and getting things started. It’s a great time to be a baseball fan!
In most ballparks around the country, what a starting day pitcher will be wearing on his feet when he throws out his first pitch of the year won’t be terribly important. No offense to MLB pitchers, but they’re not always the most stylish cats. So, a simple pair of cleats is to be expected. That won’t be the case for New York Yankees ace C.C. Sabathia, though. As always, his kicks will be extra crispy.
Now, in the past, we’ve seen C.C. rock sneakers like the Air Jordan XI in cleat form. So we’re not at all surprised to see what he’s going to pull out this season—a brand-new pair of C.C. Sabathia-only Jordan Melos. He unveiled them at Steinbrenner Field yesterday to give baseball fans a taste of what opening day will be like for him.
Unfortunately, you aren’t getting your hands on a pair of these. As we said, these are only for C.C. But you can be sure to check them out early next month when he’s wearing them on the mound. Our prediction? They’ll be a hit. Especially if C.C. doesn’t give up too many hits during his first game of the season.
