Tornadoes wreaked havoc on the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Tuesday, providing shocking video of tractor-trailers being thrown through the air like toys.

Even more shocking– these were “fairly weak” as far as tornadoes go, according to meteorologist Sean Morris.

Hundreds of flights were cancelled or diverted in the area, and dozens of planes sustained damage at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Tens of thousands are without power in Northern Texas. A “disaster declaration” was signed for the town of Arlington.

Thankfully, so far, the worst seems to have been averted.

“The pictures that you’re seeing and that I’m seeing are just horrific. We’ve got reports of a number of injuries, but no reports of fatalities at the present time,” Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said.

Are you in Dallas? What was the scene like yesterday? Let us know in the Comments section.
