Video: Katt Williams Hasn’t Gone Anywhere

It seems to have been eons and ages since Katt Williams put an unmistakable stamp on the world of stand-up comedy with his wildly popular HBO special, The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1. In actuality, it’s only been six years since the comedian and actor, best known as “Money Mike” from Ice Cube’s Friday After Next, stole center stage.

Of course, he followed with two more solid stand-up efforts, a few movie appearances, and… controversy. A series of arrests, a public feud with Steve Harvey, accusations of being a joke thief, and a somewhat racially insensitive rant not to mention the emergence of Kevin Hart all seemed to mean that pimpin’ was a thing of the past for the 40-year-old funnyman.

However, he’s never stopped bringing the funny in all of its raw and uncut glory. Amidst mixed reviews on his latest tour, he seems to be finding his voice again, as a video clip from a late 2011 performance will show.

What’s next for Katt Williams? Does he come back better than ever? Is it time for a new DVD? Time will tell, but until then let’s just hope that there’s no more “comedy beef” in his future.
