But the reality is that they are likely to play Miami in the first round. At Sunday's game vs. Miami, even with Melo scoring 42 points, they still couldn't beat the Heat. They need another piece if they are going to advance past the first round and regain Lin (which they need to do because Davis can't play an entire game and Bibby is not too impressive these days). Maybe it's not Staudemire, but I highly doubt they are going to win many games against the Heat without another big scorer besides Melo. I agree about the rough fit of the star players.
