Sheree Whitfield has confirmed that she’s leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta because of all the “cattiness” (she failed to mention she’s been at the center of much of the cattiness on the show since the beginning, but we digress). Sheree made the announcement via Twitter, saying:

“Yes it is official I’m leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta. I enjoyed my time working with everyone affiliated with the show.”

In a statement, Sheree elaborated on the reasons for her departure from the show, saying:

“After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness.”

“I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers.”

She may not be as thrilled as she’s letting on. According to a different version of the story, Sheree didn’t quit, she was fired. An inside source told RadarOnline:

“Sheree was fired. She was demanding more money and that didn’t go over well with show executives. They are tired of dealing with her diva attitude and demands.”

Apparently, not only was she a demanding diva, but the show’s producers thought her storylines (the constant fighting with her ex over child support, a failed clothing line, and a yet-to-be built house), were one big snorefest. The insider said:

“Executives think she’s just boring and they want someone new on the show.”

As for Sheree’s claim that she’s “already fielding offers”…yeahhhh, don’t expect to see much of her now that she’s no longer a part of the RHOA cast.
