Channing Tatum Plays a Stripper in Magic Mike

Ladies love Channing Tatum. Period. We know this. Even though Tatum is married to fellow actress Jenna Dewan, we’re sure he appreciates the love he always gets from adoring thirsty female fans as it is what keeps him in high demand with the studios and helps to pay the bills. We’ll chalk this next film up to fan appreciation, as it seems tailor-made for the ladies who always come out in droves to see the actor’s films.

Tatum’s latest film is Magic Mike, in which he plays the titular character, a male stripper for whom the ladies go crazy. This is not a stretch for the actor, who worked as a stripper in Tampa, FL at the age of 19 before being discovered by a talent scout.

By the looks of things, stripping is a very lucrative profession for Magic Mike, but his passions lie elsewhere. From what we can tell from the previews, he ends up falling for a female fan who accepts what he does, but prods him to do what he really loves.

What’s that, you ask?

Custom furniture. No, that’s not a typo. We’re discussing a film that features a highly sought after male stripper who really wants to leave the exotic dancing, bumping, and grinding behind to make tables out of bottles and glass. Really?

The film also stars Matthew McConaughey and Olivia Munn, to name a few.

We know the ladies will fill the theaters for this one just to see the lead actor taking it off. However, with a somewhat sketchy plot, will it really be a good overall film? Find out when Magic Mike is released to theaters on June 29.

Oh and ladies, before you pre-order your tickets on Fandango, please realize that this is not a date movie. Your man won’t be going to see it with you no matter what you say, so you may want to share this post with your wolf pack.
