Nicki Minaj Threatens To Retire From The Rap Game
First Twitter, now this.
Nicki Minaj is having some serious commitment issues with this fame thing and the Barbie princess may be breaking up with the rap game altogether. Five days after deleting her account off Twitter and pissing off her 11 million followers, the 29-year-old rapper hinted she may be quitting the music business during an interview with Tim Westwood from BBC Radio 1Xtra.
“People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to the essence… this is my fourth mixtape really,” said Minaj, referring to the recently-released Pink Friday … Roman Reloaded. “You know what I’m saying. The kid did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game.”
The host asked whether Nicki would be coming back to Twitter, to which she responded, “No. Tim, I can’t. I miss my Barbz. They miss me. But I can’t come back. I just can’t Tim, don’t make me, please don’t. Let’s move on.” Check out the full audio and some video from the interview below. Would you miss Nicki if she was gone from the rap game?
