Would You Wear These Nike Air Max 95+ BB “Olympic” Sneakers?
The 2012 Summer Olympics are almost here. In just a little more than three months, the world will touch down in London to attend the Olympics, which are, of course, held every four years in a different part of the world. Millions of people from across the globe will tune into the Games to watch athletes compete in sports like baseball, basketball, and track and field. And to celebrate the opening ceremony on July 27, Nike is releasing a handful of different sneakers that pay homage to the Olympic Games.
One of those sneakers is this Nike Air Max 95+ BB “Olympic” sneaker that’s done up in an Olympic colorway. Designed to look like the Olympic flag, it features everything you’ve come to expect from the Nike Air Max 95 with a very loud colorway that will definitely stand out in a crowd. So, we have to ask: Would you wear it?
We understand why you might wear it if you regularly rock Air Max 95 sneakers. We also get why you’d wear it if you’re, say, traveling to London for the Olympics or you’re just a big fan of the Olympics to begin with. But, if you’re not either of those things, do these sneakers appeal to you? They’re a little too out there for us—waaaaaaay too colorful—but we’re curious to hear what you think about them.
If you are interested in ‘em, you’ll have to stay tuned. Nike hasn’t released any final details about this sneaker, so we’re not sure where you’ll be able to buy them or how much they’ll cost yet. But, you can probably expect a very limited number of them to be released. Not that that’s a bad thing. Because, after taking a look at them, we’re not so sure that these are anything but a unique collector’s item for fans of the Olympic Games.
