Dwyane Wade Bans Gabrielle Union From Sitting Courtside To Watch The Miami Heat
Loose lips sink ships. And, if your name is Gabrielle Union, they might get you banned from the ship all together.
She might be currently be starring in the #1 movie in America (in case you missed it: Think Like a Man beat The Hunger Games at the box office this weekend), but the 39-year-old actress can’t seem to get any respect from her Miami Heat boo Dwayne Wade. Apparently, after becoming a little too vocal cheering at some recent basketball games, Gabrielle was told that she would no longer be allowed to sit courtside.
“That got killed when I became too vocal,” she revealed on the Conan show. “He was like, ‘We’re going to need you to sit a few rows back because I can hear you…I’ve become like Bobby Knight and like the Great Santini. It’s bad. I scream ‘Brick!’ and ‘Air ball!’”
The final straw might have come when Gabrielle started heckling her man, too. “Who’s going to tell him if not me?” she asked. “I heckle other players on opposing teams. There’s a gentleman, who shall remain nameless, who was a little overweight, and I did yell out his name and ‘Your Spanx are showing!’ He looked at me, because I timed it perfectly for maximum effect, and he looked hurt. Then I felt like an awful bully.”
If all that wasn’t bad enough, the insults got worse when Gabrielle recalled a particular nasty thing she once yelled to referee Dick Bavetta. “He hadn’t blown his whistle the whole game,” she shouted “I said, ‘You’ll get your Viagra if you just make a call!’”
