All hail, Wale! Whether you love him, hate him, or don’t give a you-know-what about him, it’s hard to hate on the guy when it comes to his sneaker collection. If there are a pair of sneaks that you really, really want, there’s a pretty good chance that, at some point, Wale has worn them. Or, at the very least, he’s got them put away on ice for a future date. From exclusive Nike Foamposite One sneakers to Nike Air Jordan kicks to all sorts of Nike LeBron 9s, Wale’s closet is overflowing with hard-to-get sneakers. And, unlike some other collectors, he’s not shy about wearing them.

The latest example of this went down on Monday morning when Wale made an appearance on the popular ESPN show First Take. On the show, Wale battled with ESPN’s Skip Bayless about a variety of different sports topics and stuck up for LeBron James on several different occasions. Did that have anything to do with what Wale was wearing on his feet? Er, we don’t think so. But, Wale was rocking a pair of “Watch The Throne” LeBron 9 sneakers that weren’t released in stores and that are super hard to find when he made his appearance. You couldn’t see it while he was on the show, but he was apparently rocking them that entire day.

Take a look at Wale chilling in the studio with the “Watch The Throne” LeBron 9s on his feet above. And take a better look at the actual sneaker below. For the record, there’s absolutely no way you’re getting your hands on a pair of these. So, like we said, you’ve gotta give Wale props for getting his hands on a pair. Respect the guy who’s wearing the sneakers that you only wish you could buy. He deserves it.
