One celebrity (and I use the term loosely) noticeably absent from Monday night’s Met Gala was Kim Kardashian. Although many people expected her to show up on the arm of her current flame Kanye West, the hip-hop superstar instead arrived at fashion’s biggest night of the year alone, and for good reason. Reportedly, Vogue‘s famed editor Anna Wintour, who co-chairs and hosts the event, would rather be caught wearing designs from the Rainbow store on 125th Street in Harlem than be in the same room as the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. A source told RadarOnline:

“Anna hates Kim. Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all.”

Although tickets to the gala can be purchased for the bargain basement price of $25,000, apparently, buying a ticket wasn’t even an option for Kim. The source said:

“The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can’t even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!”

Of course the Kardashian camp will probably try to give an excuse for Kim’s absence from the Met Gala, but the source said any explanation they give should not be believed:

“Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn’t invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie. She would of done anything to be there with all the A-listers.”

Not surprisingly, Kim Kardashian fans shouldn’t expect their favorite big booty, reality TV diva on the cover of Vogue anytime soon. The source said:

“Anna Wintour would allow Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue over her dead body. As long as Anna in charge you will NOT see Kim on Vogue.”
