Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Wants You To Create A One-Of-A-Kind Sneaker For Him
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. wants a new pair of sneakers. But, he obviously doesn’t want just any sneakers. Fresh off his victory over Miguel Cotto on Saturday night, which made him 43-0 during his pro boxing career and earned him somewhere north of $40 million, Mayweather could afford to go to any mall in America and buy every sneaker that they have. But, he wants something that really stands out.
So, Mayweather just launched a contest in collaboration with the magazine MYMAG to try and find a sneaker designer who can create a personalized shoe that Mayweather loves. How it works is that Money May is inviting any young, promising sneaker designers out there to submit a creative pattern or color scheme design for a sneaker. The champ will then pick one of the designs and use it to create his own custom shoe, which he will wear out in public and show off to the world. In addition to having his or her shoe worn by Mayweather, the winning designer will also receive $3000, a signed copy of MYMAG with Mayweather on the cover, a signed pair of the winning sneakers, tweets and Facebook statuses about the winning sneaker, and a lifetime subscription to MYMAG. Mayweather will also be selecting a runner-up, who will receive some cool prizes as well, and there will a “people’s choice” artist selected, too.

So, get your best design in now.
