One NBA Player Really, Really Loves His New Nike Air Jordan IV “Cavs” Sneaker
Were you fortunate enough to get your hands on a pair of the Nike Air Jordan IV “Cavs” on Saturday morning? The “Cavs”—which are also being referred to as the “Last Shots” since they pay homage to Michael Jordan‘s classic shot over Craig Ehlo at the end of Game 5 of the Chicago Bulls/Cleveland Cavaliers first-round playoff series in 1989—sold out quickly when they were placed on sale on Saturday morning. Featuring the Cavaliers colorway, they are a really solid Jordan IV release and one that we hope will get re-released at some time in the near future since these were so hard to land the first time around.
One NBA player did manage to get his hands on a pair of the Jordan IV “Cavs”—no surprise there—and he liked them so much that he decided to cuddle up next to one of the sneakers and sleep with it. That player is New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith, who decided to don a Knicks snapback hat on Saturday afternoon while he laid on the couch with one of his “Cavs” sneakers on his chest. “Now this is what I call #beautysleep!” he wrote as there caption for the shot shown above, which Smith posted to his Instagram page on Saturday.
J.R. Smith really loves his Jordan IV “Cavs.” What about you? Were you willing and able to stand in line on Friday night or Saturday morning to land a pair of the “Cavs”? Are you holding out for the “Military Blue” Air Jordan IVs that will hit stores next month? Or, will you be rocking both pairs this summer? Hit the comments section and let us know.
