Rumors: iPhone Will Have A Larger Screen
It’s rare that the national pastime of Apple product rumors (mini iPad, iTV, etc.) gets outside the world of tech blogs, but the Wall Street Journal got into the game like a pro today with some wonderfully unsubstantiated guesses. Citing “people familiar with the matter,” WSJ writes that Apple has ordered larger screens from Asian suppliers for their upcoming release of the next-generation iPhone.
The new screens measure at least 4 inches diagonally, the people said, compared with 3.5 inches on Apple’s latest model, the iPhone 4S. Production is set to begin next month, the people said. Analysts have predicted that the next iPhone will come out in the fall.
“The People” have spoken!
While the 9.7-inch iPad is facing competition from more portable (and cheaper) 7-inch tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire, the iPhone might be losing consumers to handsets with larger screens from rivals like Nokia.
What do you think? Will we be seeing an iPad Mini and an iPhone Max?
