The Avengers continues to break box office records, crossing the one gazillion dollar mark this past weekend, I think (I’m not sure, don’t quote me on that). And while movie sequels and spinoffs for the Marvel universe are certainly in the works, a television executive claims that The Hulk may be headed back to the small screen.

ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee told a conference call Tuesday that he hopes “The Hulk” will be ready for the 2013-2014 season.

“We had hoped it would be ready this year, but that didn’t happen,” said Lee.

He also said that if it works out, it could air on ABC or ABC could sell it to another network like Fox.

“Wherever it would work best,” said Lee.

Of course, the big green guy has already been on TV, in the classic 1970s TV show The Incredible Hulk, starring Bill Bixby as David Banner and Lou Ferigno as The Hulk.
