Cleveland Cavaliers point guard and recently named NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving, like many skilled ballers in the NBA, wants you to know something. He isn’t just an athlete, he’s an entertainer as well. In today’s league, it’s very important to a pro athlete’s personal brand to handle both well.

So, when Pepsi MAX went to Mr. Irving to shoot an ad, they came up with viral video magic with “Uncle Drew.” Who’s Uncle Drew, you ask?

He’s like a mash-up of Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer‘s character) from Barbershop and Otis, one of Martin Lawrence‘s characters from his 90s sitcom. The difference is that although he might be a bit rusty, Uncle Drew can ball.

There’s makeup, a wig, fake facial hair, the whole nine – almost like they were shooting a movie. And it’s so well done, you probably wouldn’t know who was in the costume if they didn’t unveil him at the end.

The video has over 2 million views in the past few days alone, but just in case you haven’t already, feast your eyes on Uncle Drew.
