Is The Nike Air Max Hyperposite The Ultimate Basketball Sneaker?
If you had to build the perfect basketball sneaker, what would it look like? Better yet, what would it have to have? If you ask me, it’d definitely have to provide your foot with plenty of support. And, it’d probably have to have plenty of “air” inside of it, too. It’d have to be built to keep your feet protected on the basketball court. Oh, and it wouldn’t hurt if it look nice. Seems reasonable enough, right?
Well, say hello to the Nike Air Max Hyperposite “Blue/Volt” sneaker (try saying that five times fast!). It’s not necessarily being billed as “the perfect basketball sneaker.” But, once you hear what went into making it, you’ll definitely think that Nike was trying to push the boundaries and come as close to perfect as they could.
Basically, the Air Max Hyperposite is a sneaker that includes elements of the Nike Foamposite and the Nike Hyperfuse sneakers while also incorporating Air Max technology into the soles. As a result, the sneaker provides plenty of support. The Air Max technology also gives your feet plenty of cushioning. And, of course, it’s not hard to spot the elements of the Foamposite on the midsole and upper parts of the sneakers. Quite simply, this sneaker looks and acts like an absolute beast.
All of that said, it doesn’t appear Nike is quite ready to unleash these bad boys to the world. As of right now, there is no price point available (if we had to guess, we’d say these things will be just south of $200) and we’re not sure when they’re dropping yet. But, when they do, you can expect to see plenty of these out on the basketball court. Because, from the looks of things, that’s exactly where they’re supposed to be, trying to stake a claim to the title of “the perfect basketball sneaker.”
