Spiderman Gets His Own Reebok Insta Pump Fury Sneaker
These days, just about everyone has their own sneaker. And, when we say everyone, we mean everyone. You don’t have to be a top flight athlete anymore—or even an athlete at all; what up, Kanye?!—to get your own sneaker. You just have to have some sort of broad appeal and something about you that makes sneaker companies say, “You know what? He (or she) needs his own sneaker! Let’s give him a call. He could help us sell some sneakers.” It’s the reason why the most anticipated shoe endorsement signing of the year was Lil Wayne teaming up with Supra. And why people are camping out for the Nike Air Yeezy 2. And…well, you get the point.
All of that being said, this is just ridiculous. Okay, not completely ridiculous. But, Spiderman isn’t even a real person and now comes the news that he’s getting his own sneaker. Even though he didn’t appear in the new Avengers flick, Reebok decided to partner up with Marvel recently to create a Reebok Insta Pump Fury “Spiderman” that’s designed to pay homage to Peter Parker. The sneaker features a spider on the pump, webs on the red upper, and insoles that have images of Spiderman on them.
If you’re a Spiderman fanatic, you’re gonna want these in your life. Or, if you just want to take a chance on an item that could potentially be worth something one day, think about ordering them. Otherwise, just enjoy these for their “wow!” factor and bypass actually purchasing them. In the past, we’ve seen this done time and time again by sneaker and clothing companies and, while these kinds of items are cool to look at, they also prove that not everyone needs their own sneaker. You hear that, sneaker companies? Not EVERYONE needs their own sneaker!
