DMX Gets Career Back On Track With New Tour
DMX fans who had a tough time watching him on VH1′s Couples Therapy can breathe a sigh of relief: the dog is finally ready to get back to music.
The Ruff Ryder legend will hit the road this summer to support his upcoming comeback album Undisputed, releasing this fall on Seven Arts/Bloodline Records. The first leg kicks off June 1 in Cincinnati and the tour marks X’s return to most markets after several years on hiatus.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had the chance to go out and touch the fans,” says X. “They’ve consistently supported me through the ups and downs. I’m anxious to get back in front of them and return the favor, keeping the focus on incredible music and memorable live shows.”
“We are excited to get back on the road with the Undisputed: Weigh In promo tour this summer,” adds DMX’s manager Jason Fowler. “With X getting the chance to be in front of his fans day in and day out, this project has been a long time coming and the DOG is definitely back. We’re looking at 30-40 cities across the US on the promo run with a full US tour planned in the fall to coincide with the Undisputed album release.”
The first release from Undisputed is “I Don’t Dance” featuring Machine Gun Kelly and X’s longtime friends and collaborators Swizz Beatz and Dame Grease are producing the bulk of the album.
