Tiger Woods Makes His First Real Contribution To The Game Of Golf In Three Years

If you’re a Tiger Woods fan, then let us be the first to say that we are truly sorry for using that as our headline. But, c’mon: It’s officially safe to say that, over the course of the last few years, TW has lost his swagger. The guy isn’t exactly wowing anyone on the golf course anymore. He’s not winning majors. He’s barely making the cuts at a lot of the tournaments that he enters. Right now, he stinks—at least by Tiger Woods’ high standards.

That being said, Tiger is doing one thing right at the present moment. He’s helping Nike design one hell of a golf shoe. It’s called the Nike TW ’13 and it is probably the flyest golf shoe we’ve ever seen. Because Tiger is such a big fan of Nike’s FREE technology, he incorporated it into this shoe. As a result, the FREE technology can actually help you out on the golf course because it allows for golfers to maintain more foot contact with the ground and get a whole lot more power behind their swings.

And then there’s the look of the actual shoe, which is, in a word, dope. Seriously. We almost want to buy a pair of these just to stroll around in. They’re made using Nike’s new Dynamic Fit support system that features a stretch synthetic material that makes the sneakers light. They’re available in both white and black with red accents. And, they look like no other golf sneaker out on the market.

If Tiger isn’t going to provide us with any excitement on the golf course, we’re glad he’s at least coming through for us off it by designing solid golf shoes. If you’re headed out to the course, grab a pair and try them out. They hit stores on June 8 (just in time for Father’s Day!) and will be available everywhere. Way to go, Tiger. It’s good to see you finally get a win.
