DJ Greg Street, Bun B, & Cyhi Da Prynce Release A Song About The Nike Air Yeezy II Called “Yeezy’s Bout to Come Out”
You know what the Nike Air Yeezy IIs need right now? A theme song. With all the hype surrounding them, all the celebrities showing them off, and all the sneakerheads already in line fiending for a pair, the Yeezy II sneakers could really use a song that helps define just how important they are to the sneaker culture today. Oh, wait. What’s that? They already do have a theme song? You don’t say!
With just three days remaining until the Yeezy IIs drop, DJ Greg Street has teamed up with Bun B and Cyhi Da Prynce to release “Yeezy’s Bout to Come Out,” a song that sounds like it samples Kanye West‘s “Runaway” and that features both rappers talking about their experiences with sneakers and sharing their collective excitement for the Yeezy IIs to come out. Check it out here:
So, what do you think? Did Greg Street, Bun B, and Cyhi nail it—or do you think there are other rappers out there who could have done a better job at creating an anthem for the Yeezy IIs? We’ve got a soft spot for this one. Although we’re sure we like it partly because it sounds like “Runaway,” we also like it because Bun and Cyhi do a nice job of putting the Yeezy II drop into proper perspective. Play this one on your way to the sneaker spot on Saturday to pick up your pair of Yeezy IIs.
