Muhammad Ali Stars In New Louis Vuitton Campaign
Capturing the spirit of legends while they’re alive doesn’t happen often enough, which is what makes Louise Vuitton’s new campaign with Muhammad Ali so special.
The 70 year-old boxing champion appears in the luxury brand’s new campaign, captured by legendary photographer Annie Leibowitz in his Phoenix backyard. He’s pictured as a proud granddad, looking on with love at his three-year-old grandson Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr. who looks adorable in his white wifebeater, jeans and Converse sneakers, complete with boxing gloves and defiant stance. The $1,525 Louis Vuitton “Keepall 50” bag lies at the champ’s feet.
Lonnie Ali, Muhammed Ali’s wife, told the Wall St. Journal Ali personally requested his grandson be featured in the ad with him. “The two share a special bond,” she said. “Of all the grandchildren, C.J. looks the most like Muhammad. And he even acts like him.”
