Jennifer, Kesha, And Royce Fired From Basketball Wives?
In a recent interview, Basketball Wives executive producer and star Shaunie O’Neal revealed that the franchise wouldn’t be able to continue unless three members of the cast were given the boot (I told you about that here). My guess as to who the three were, Jennifer Williams, Tami Roman, and Evelyn Lozada, was apparently a little off base. Reportedly, Tami and Evelyn will not be joining Jennifer on the reality TV unemployment line, but Royce Reed and newbie Kesha Nichols will. According to TMZ:
“We’re told Royce was cut because she wasn’t legally allowed to talk about Dwight due to a 2009 gag order, blocking her from discussing her ex in any way. The other girls on the show had also decided to ostracize her, so Royce couldn’t shoot scenes with the rest of the cast.
As for the others — producers think Jennifer’s too big a liability after suing Nia Crooks for slapping her on the show. And Kesha was just too boring.”
Allegedly, the ladies will be given their walking papers any day now as BBW producers consider them “dead weight.” The trio will be replaced by some new faces, although no word yet on who those new faces will be. Both Jennifer and Royce are original members of the show, so their absence will most likely be felt by the show’s fans. As for Kesha…well, she spent so much time running from people during season 4, the only thing BBW viewers got to see was the back of her damn head anyway.
If anyone should go its that Evelyn who is a loud mouth bully……are any of the so-called women basketball wives or is this just a name? Tami and Evelyn have no class or manners what so ever and way to old to act the way they do especially that Evelyn……
The shows producers claim they are firing three wives because of the violence on last season. But in reality they are firing the three civil cast members instead of the violent and ignorant cast members. Yes, Kesha was boring but she also had respect for herself and her family. Jennifer wasn’t violent, the girls picked on her! Royce was barely getting any camera time but it just goes to show they are firing them because they were NOT the girls causing the violence/drama. The producers are full of bologna!
Why is Evelyn still going to be on the show? It is clear that she is about to marry a “football” player and the show is called basketball wives, if anybody should go it’s her because she is doesn’t have any connection to any basketball man anymore. Let her join a football wives show!!
I totally agree with you Marie. Also, I think that if Kesha was considered boring than maybe they should get rid of Susie for the same reason. She is very boring and the only time she opens her mouth is when its to start trouble amongst the women, but this is what the producers want and like for us to keep watching the show to keep this type of behavior on and to make us think this is entertainment.
They fired the wrong ones! I liked the show in the beginning and felt Evelyn and Tammi should get the boot, along with Suzy who stirs up trouble. Now no reason to watch they ditched the people who were trying to behave like ladies and make it worth watching! If Shaunie is in charge then she should have the say so who stays and goes and it looks like she is just a front1 What a farce! Tammi and Evelyn cannot even speak clearly or pronounce their words correctly. They act like street hoods! I won’t stick around for season five I hope Jennifer, Kesha and royce get their own show
Well, I guess this show will lose it popularity they were the ones keeping the show going. Evelyn and Tammy are bulling bitches and we definitely can do without them. I guess I will switch over to “Single Ladies”. They have class without the drama.
Looking at who got the boot, it seems as if the show is about who can act more like wild animals. This show is a Jerry Springer spin-off. First, none of them ARE basketball wives, girlfriends don’t count. Second, all of them have children and I know that they are not role models, but at least be one for your children. Third, maybe I missed it when the cameras are off, but are they really doing something positive for themselves or even the communities.We already know who was leaving the show,Jennifer was doing well with her lip gloss line, Royce was doing her thing in the plays and well, Kesha ran every chance she got. It seems that we all know that shaunie and Evelyn are best of friends so it did not matter what type of behavior she brought to the show. Doors close and new ones open. Royce, kesha and Jennifer are too classy for that show.
Basketball Wives is pretty much on the way out. Keisha was boring – why because she refused to fight a person 3 times larger than herself for nothing. She has heart, manners and what seemed like a loving upbringing. If that’s boring, then we as women are in trouble. Only the fighters get ‘cred.’ Nonsense!
All of them are trifling, and a disgrace to black women, a disgrace to all women that have moral values, women who chase dreams, and contribute to creating their own wealth, not women who chase $$$$$ at the expense of others. When will we learn????
Shauni and Evelyn and Tami were all common denominators in all dissention. Shauni was just sneaki with hers, you know how the elite will create chaos, and then surprisingly come up with the solution to the chaos they created in the first place….well that’s what Shauni’s role has always been, as quietly as it was kept. She’s that gold-digger that will do anything for a dollar, her, Tami, and Evelyn. Why hasn’t anyone asked Evelyn where did her money come from??? Stealing from Antoine Walker, that’s why he’s broker than broke now, but no sympathy, that’s what they all get for chasing arm candy!!!!
the show will do any thing for money. so they leave the real mud ducks, but the show is going down. the ones they fired were too good for the show any way.
If Jennifer is gone, I will not watch anymore. The other girls are a trip, stuck up and too busy trying to please shaunie. Anytime someone slaps you sue them, I rather see her do that than fighting back. Ridiculous to let her go.
I was irate the whole time watching this farce. Black women are not “thugs” and loyalty does not denote backstabbing. I thought it was hilarious watching Bully Tami over-enunciate her words. She is now trying to have class but still comes off as thug life. Who does she think she is telling people not to talk about her behind her back? How many times did we see her and Evelyn “conjuring up” and cutting people up? Who the hell is she? The only way I would watch BBW next season is if Shaunie, Tami and Evelyn are gone. Or, if the bring on someone bigger than those three hulks to bully their butts. Jennifer did the right thing, she showed some class. You don’t fight like an animal, you let the law take care of it. Shaunie, miss innocent, was one of the biggest instegators on the show. Good luck to Royce, Jennifer and Kesha. I hope the show tanks!
Tammi, should have been the one to be fired! She is so far up Evelyn and Shaunie’s ass! She is always talking about “our circle” It wasn’t long ago.. when you were the butt of all their jokes and they did not want you in “the circle”. I just dislike her so much, she is a phony wanna be. And acts much like her shoe size! I will miss Jennifer and Keisha. Good luck to both…
I amapalled that those three will be fired I believe Jenifer is a lady. someone boxed you in your face and you should turn another cheek NO. Here comes Royce about her calling whever name maybe it shouldnt happen. Keshia is a dear, the Bitches are EVELYN. TOMI. AND the so-called Producer Shaunie, she is not a lady by a long shot but she is a friend of evelyn, tomi. What about Suzie most of or allof the news carrying is belonging to Suzie she stands to make trouble.
Cant see how Jenifer would join the un-employment line she was married to a once -a go star. But the show loves voilence look the troubles Tomi cost since joining the group, she need s to go, I have known friends who says they cease watching because Evelyn the centry slut. and Tomi the wana-be, she is a hood-rat, I am through with that show. single ladies here I com.
