Oh, baby!

She may have only been an infant at the end of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, but Renesmee is all grown up by Part 2. The half-vampire, half-mortal child of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is being featured on the cover of the June 22 issue of Entertainment Weekly. Renesmee is the blood drop of her parents’ eyes, and luckily for casting directors, Mackenzie Foy was the perfect actress to play the part.

“It’s a hugely important part,” director Bill Condon explained in the upcoming issue of EW. “There were a lot of kids. But this was kind of obvious. It was one of those rare times when you see something—like with an apartment or house—and it feels good and you just need to take it. I felt that way, like, ‘Oh, this is good.’”

According to Condon, the actors quickly bonded on set. “It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective,” Condon explained. “I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.”

And, while Pattinson might be the object of many a schoolgirl crush, his onscreen daughter has no feelings for her famous “dad.”

“I don’t see him as cute,” Foy told MTV News in the video below. “He’s really nice and all, but he’s more of a friend or a brother or a dad to me…Kristen [Stewart] is an amazing, sweet, wonderful actress, and I’m so lucky to be working with her. She’s an amazing person.”

Learn more about Mackenzie Foy in the video below. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 arrives in theaters November 18, 2012.
