Is Drake Facing Charges Of Reckless Endangerment Over Club W.i.P. Incident?
Early this AM, several media outlets reported that the NYPD is planning to charge Drake with reckless endangerment because of the very ugly Club W.i.P. incident involving Chris Brown and their crews. According to those reports, the charge stemmed from a witness who allegedly told cops that they saw Drake throw something during the very chaotic brawl that occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning. According to the NY Post, cops planned on arresting the Canadian hip-hop star tonight at a concert at Jones Beach if he didn’t agree to turn himself in by next week. As I mentioned before, several media outlets have picked up on this story, but TMZ is reporting that as of now, Drake is not facing arrest. According to them:
“There’s a report out this AM that Drake will be arrested for reckless endangerment for allegedly hurling a bottle that hit no one … but we’re told not only is it not true, cops have ‘no suspects, complaints or arrest warrants at this time.”‘
What we do know is that multiple people were injured in the melee, including NBA star Tony Parker who suffered an eye injury (a scratched retina). Several of the injured parties have already retained lawyers, so don’t be surprised to hear about lawsuits being filed against Chris and Drake because of the incident. Damn shame too…these dudes have the world at their fingertips, and they’re in the club acting a damn fool!!
