Meek Mill Breaks His Silence On Chris Brown, Drake Nightclub Fight
Philadelphia emcee Meek Mill, who’s found himself at the center of the drama following the brawl that broke out at W.i.P. nightclub last week, is speaking out about what happened that night. The “Ima Boss” rapper has refused to implicate either Chris Brown or Drake in the bottle throwing melee, telling XXL magazine:
“Chris and Drake, them two was there but its other people that be around that take shit to the next level. Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of shit. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.”
As for whether or not he threw a bottle during the fracas that injured multiple people, including Chris’s bodyguard Big Pat and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, Meek said bluntly:
Although Meek engaged in some kind of Twitter beef with Chris and Drake over Rihanna (who’s rumored to be at the center of this whole mess) last month, the Maybach Music Group recording artist insists that he and Chris don’t have any issues. He told XXL:
“What [Chris] tweeted was just that me and Meek Mill ain’t got no problem. I talked to him immediately after that, on the phone afterwards, like immediately, like, ‘There’s nothing there, this-that-and-the-third.’”
I don’t blame him for wanting to distance himself from this situation. In the days since the incident occurred, W.i.P. has been shut down due to code violations, and some of the injured have already retained lawyers and expressed their intent to sue. Meek is just now starting to make some real money off this hip-hop thing, so I know he’s not trying to part with any of it already!
