Iggy Azalea Lands A Contract With Wilhelmina Models
Australian rap rookie Iggy Azalea is following in the footsteps of Beyonce, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield, Britney Spears, Leighton Meester, Ciara, Kendall Jenner, and more thanks to a swanky modeling contract with Wilhelmina International Inc.
“I’m very excited to be a part of Wilhelmina,” Iggy said in an official statement. “I’ve always had an interest in fashion, so it’s an honor to be able to expand my brand further with the very best in the industry.”
Ironically, the blonde bombshell was once told she was “too fat” to model professionally. “They said, ‘If you could lose four inches off of your hips, then get back to us,’” Iggy says in the video below of once being scouted by Elite Model Management. “I was like, that’s ridiculous. What would I even be? I would have to have one of my hips removed for that to even be possible. So that was pretty much my modeling career.”
Iggy Azalea’s debut album, The New Classic, is slated to drop later this year.
