Jamie Lynn Spears Debuts A Song About Britney Spears’ Lost “Innocence”
Call her the original Teen Mom.
When Jamie Lynn Spears became pregnant in 2008 at 17, giving birth to her daughter Maddie, she dropped out of her starring role on the hit Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 and essentially left the show business world behind her…until now.
Now 21, Britney Spears‘ little sister has reemerged as a country singer. The blonde beauty took the stage in Nashville, Tennessee at 3rd and Lindsley Bar and Grill recently to perform a song about her older sister.
“This next song is called “I Look Up to You,’” she told the crowd. “You can imagine who I wrote it about. I hope y’all like it a lot.”
The song leaves little room for interpretation and clearly references Spears’ troubled past due to growing up in the spotlight.”Scared little girl living in a big old world,” she sings in the video below. “You’ve outgrown your room, it all happened way too soon/They took away your innocence, we forgot our strong defense.”
