The Miami Heat Celebrated Their NBA Title By Partying At Miami Nightclub LIV Last Night
A year ago, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the Miami Heat had to sit by and watch Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks party at LIV in Miami after they came to South Beach and won the 2011 NBA Finals in their building. To Heat haters, the sight of Mark Cuban swiping his credit card at LIV and spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on bottles of champagne was a welcome one. After all, most people outside the state of Florida were cheering against Bron-Bron & Co. so they loved seeing the Mavs celebrate their title right in the Heat’s backyard. But, it was obviously very painful for the Heat to see.
This year, it’s the Heat celebrating their first NBA title in six years. Last night, they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in a blowout to win the best-of-7 2012 NBA Finals series 4-1. So, after the final buzzer, they were in the mood to let loose and that’s exactly what they did when they made the short trip over to LIV to pop bottles and party as a team. LeBron James even took the stage at LIV with LMFAO and rapped along to the 2 Chainz hit ”Riot” and TMZ claims that he was sipping champagne until 6 in the morning. It was quite the scene.
Below, you can check out a few photos from the event, courtesy of WorldRedEye. We’d also encourage you to head over to their site to see a ton of other photos. After everything that the Heat have been through over the course of the past two years, they went all out after they finally won their first NBA championship as a group. They say you’ll never forget your first time. So, enjoy this while you can, guys. And, to the rest of the NBA: Let this be motivation to you. Do you really want to see this scene over and over (and over!) again for the next decade?
