Justin Bieber Wore This Special 1-Of-1 Pair Of Gold Adidas Originals Recently
Earlier this week, Justin Bieber released his third official studio album, Believe. So, it was only right that, on Wednesday night, NBC agreed to air a special concert called Justin Bieber: All Around the World. The special, which featured Biebs performing a lot of his news songs in addition to some of his old stuff, didn’t do great ratings-wise (it only registered a 0.9 rating during its first hour) but it was still a really big look for Bieber who appears poised to make a push as more than just a teeny-bop singer with his new album. And, knowing that he was going to have to pull out all the stops for his national look, Bieber also had to pull a very special pair of sneakers out of the closet when he took the stage for All Around the World.
So, what did he wear? Some fly Supras? A pair of Air Jordans that are impossible to get? The Nike Air Yeezy IIs? No, no, and no. Instead, Biebs got his hands on a truly one-of-a-kind sneaker that left us all wowed.
According to Complex, Biebs called on his main man The Shoe Surgeon to cook him up a custom pair of kicks that were literally fly. He took a pair of adidas Athletic Mids and added a pair of wings from Jeremy Scott‘s recent adidas collection to create a 1-of-1 sneaker. Then, to really put it over the top, he took some gold paint and made the sneaker entirely gold. Pretty sweet.
What do you think of the sneakers that Biebs wore during his All Around the World special? Do you wish you had a pair? Is JB on the brink of becoming a true sneakerhead—or will you always question his authenticity because of all the perks he gets from sneaker companies?
