Jennifer Hudson Launches A New Clothing Line For Women Of All Shapes And Sizes
Since losing 80 pounds with Weight Watchers, Jennifer Hudson‘s dress size has run the gamut from a size 16 (her biggest) to a size 6 (her current dress size). Now, the singer is using her expertise to design a cute clothing line for a plump and petite clientele.
“I feel like I represent every woman,” Hudson told Women’s Wear Daily. “I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it—no matter what size you are—and you could feel comfortable in it.”
Following in the footsteps of Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe, the Kardashians, and Heidi Klum, Hudson has teamed up with QVC to launch a 14-piece collection suitable for any body type and, thankfully, for any wallet size as well. Hudson plans to make her line accessible to the masses with affordable pieces, including $50 leggings, a $75 sheer maxi-skirt, a $75 body-con dress, and, the most expensive, a $170 “very structured and very classic” dress coat. “It has to be true to me,” she says. “I would not sign off on it if I would not wear it.”
