The New Nike+ “Sport” Pack Helps You Keep Track Of Your Workouts

Remember when you used to actually have to sit down and write—ew, write?!—down information when you worked out? You had to write how many reps you did of this, how many times you were able to do that, and even how long it took you to do certain things. It was a real hassle and made working out even more painful than it already was. It was bad enough that you had to run, jump, and hustle your way through workouts. Keeping a record of everything you’d done was just enough to make you say “Forget it!” when it came time to hit the gym.

Well, guess what? You’re not going to be able to use that as an excuse anymore. In its seemingly never-ending quest to get you to work out, Nike is planning on releasing the Nike+ “Sport” Pack later this week—a collection of sneakers that keeps track of everything you do during a workout and transmits all of the information to your smart phone. Complete with a Nike Hyperdunk+, a Nike WMNS Lunar Hyperworkout+, and a Nike Lunar TR1+, each sneaker in the “Sport” pack includes a pressure sensor that’s equipped to track your movements and then send them directly to a mobile app on your smart phone. This way, you can easily keep a record of how well your workouts are going and what you’re able to do during them.

All three pairs of the Nike+ sneakers will be available to buy on Friday. The Hyperdunk+ in men’s and women’s sizes will retail for $250. The WMNS Lunar Hyperworkout+ will retail for $220. And, the Lunar TR1+ will retail for $235. The prices are a little bit steep. But, it’s well worth it when you consider how frustrating it can be to keep track of your workouts. Check out a video on the Hyperdunk+ below as well as photos of all three of the sneakers in the “Sport” pack. Will you be using these to work out soon?
