Here Are The adidas Rose 773 “Team USA” Sneakers Derrick Rose Was Going To Wear During The 2012 Summer Olympics
Unfortunately, Derrick Rose won’t be playing for the men’s Olympic basketball team during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The Chicago Bulls point guard is spending his summer trying to rehab the ACL that he tore during the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs. But, if he wasn’t injured right now, Rose would definitely be suiting up for the Olympic team—and he’d be rocking these adidas Rose 773 “Team USA” sneakers when he did it. adidas made them specifically for Rose to wear during the 2012 Olympics.
As you can see, the adidas Rose 773 “Team USA” is obviously a very patriotic sneaker. The upper is mostly white but there are also red and blue accents throughout the sneaker that leave little doubt about which team Rose would be representing during the Olympic Games. The sneakers also feature the classic Three Stripes design on the heel of the sneaker, the patented SPRINTFRAME midfoot structure that adidas has started putting into so many of their lightweight sneakers, and D-Rose’s signature on the midsole of the sneaker. They’re simple and tasteful—perfect for wearing during the Olympics.
Rose won’t get the opportunity to wear his own sneaker this summer. But, if you’re interested, adidas is still planning on releasing the Rose 773 “Team USA” sometime in the coming weeks. With the Olympics set to kick off in just about a month, these would be perfect to show your solidarity with the Olympic team. We’re not sure how much they’ll cost yet or where you’ll be able to scoop up a pair. But, stay tuned for more details.
