Were you lucky enough to get your hands on a pair of Nike Air Yeezy II sneakers? No? Well, guess what? You’re definitely not alone. In fact, most people out there who wanted the Yeezy IIs didn’t get a chance to get their hands on a pair. It’s simple supply and demand, folks. Everyone wanted a pair and there were only so many to go around. So, even diehard sneakerheads who wanted to throw a pair into their closet were left out in the cold.

Not everyone just accepted the fact that they were sold out, though. In fact, there have been a ton of people who weren’t able to get a pair of Yeezy IIs who opted to buy a pair from a reseller—at a very, very high cost. How high? Well, let’s just say that the Yeezy IIs were expensive to begin with at $250. But, that price point looks like an absolute bargain when you take a look at this infographic:

As you can see, people have been desperate to get a pair of Yeezy IIs in the weeks following the official release date. Some of them have gotten so desperate that they’ve resorted to paying way over retail price for a pair. In fact, this infographic that was created by eBay researcher Zach Kingsley reveals that every single pair of Yeezy IIs that was sold on eBay in the month of June went for well over $1000. Some went for more than $2000. And, a few (we’re guessing these were some of the first pairs sold), even went for more than $3000. Yes, people actually paid that much for a pair of Yeezy IIs.

What does this mean? Well, it means that if you’re thinking about buying a pair of Yeezy IIs, you’d better be sitting on at least a couple spare paychecks to do it. It also means that you should probably cool your jets and wait awhile before you buy a pair. The price of a pair of Yeezy IIs dropped all throughout the month of June. So, maybe—just maybe—you’ll be able to get them for less than a G at some point in the near future.

And, if you happen to have a pair that you’re waiting to sell? Go ahead and list them now. It’s clear you can make a quick buck off them, as long as you strike while the Yeezy IIs are still hot.
