Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes’ Prenup Is Revealed: She’ll Get Pennies!

Cuba Gooding Jr. belted the words “Show me the money!” to Tom Cruise in the hit film, Jerry Maguire. And, it seems Cruise’s soon-to-be ex wife will be screaming the same thing in real life.

Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes may have recently filed for divorce from the 50-year-old actor, but money was definitely not the driving force. According to multiple reports, the prenuptial agreement she signed is ironclad and will entitle her to mere pennies when she walks away from the five-year marriage.

“She’s not about the money,” a source told TMZ.com. “She’s not that girl. She loves to work.”

With rumors swirling that Cruise was controlling and domineering over his wife’s life, religion, style, and career—even forbidding her to film a Dawson’s Creek reunion movie if one was ever in the works—it makes sense that the actress would want nothing more than a clean break from the mega-star, even if it leaves her pockets substantially strained.

One thing Holmes will fight for is child support for Suri, the daughter she shares with Cruise. Cruise’s desire to raise Suri as a Scientologist is thought to be the reason for the couple’s split. If Holmes chooses to argue the validity of the prenup, she could stand to walk away with a cool $20 million. Yet, those close to the actress believe a battle over bank accounts is doubtful. “Money is not that important to her,” a source said.  “She makes plenty on her own.”

Guess we’ll see how she handles it soon.
