“Call Me Maybe” Singer Carly Rae Jepsen Is Involved In A Nude Photo Scandal
Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen shot to fame when her single, “Call Me Maybe,” off her second album, Curiosity, became the first song by a Canadian artist to reach the top of the digital chart since Justin Bieber. But, after the song went double platinum recently, Carly had to deal with a scandal all young celebrities seem to face nowadays—leaked nude-photo rumors.
When photos of a naked brunette leaked on the Internet, the World Wide Web was instantly buzzing and saying that the nipple-pierced girl was the 26-year-old rising star. But, Carly Rae’s camp was quick to denounce the images as fake. “This is 200% NOT Carly,” her rep told TMZ.
Thankfully Carly Rae’s doppelganger decided to come forward. A 21-year-old internet model named Destiny Benedict squashed rumors that the frisky pictures she posted herself on Twitter were Carly Rae. “Well I just want to say this Carly Rae is a beautiful girl,” Destiny tweeted. “And I’m honored to have been mistaken as her.”
Phew! Crisis averted. Check out the single that made Carly famous below. Would you call her? Er, maybe?
