Skateboarder Stevie Williams Gets His First Signature Sneaker Through Supra

It seems like this moment should have happened a long time ago for Stevie Williams, doesn’t it? After all, he’s been doing his thing in the world of skateboarding for awhile now, so why doesn’t he already have his own signature shoe? We can’t answer that—Reebok? Vans? Nike? Anyone?—but we can tell you that it appears like getting his own signature shoe was well worth the wait for Williams who just released his new S1W skating sneaker through Supra, the same company that’s developing a new sneaker line for Lil Wayne. The sneaker is really dope, regardless of whether or not you like skating, and it should help propel Williams’ name further into the mainstream.

As you can see from the photo above, there’s nothing that’s too out there or outlandish about the S1W. It’s a fairly clean sneaker that looks almost too good to be used solely for skating (Williams even says that he would rather walk around in it than skate in it!). It features a perforated upper that’s designed to deliver breathability, a padded heel-pull that provides added comfort, and a unique cup sole to minimize the amount of impact that your feet will take when you’re skating. The outsole is also thinner in the front than it is in the back of the sneaker, so that you can really feel the board when you’re skating.

If you’re into it, the S1W is available right now. There are a range of different colorways—everything from the traditional black/white to royal/fluorescent yellow—and it retails for just $95. Looking at this sneaker, it’s amazing to think that this is the first shoe Williams has offered up to the world. But, better late than never, right? Skate on out and grab a pair now, right after you check out additional images of the sneaker below:
