A few months ago, we told you about how Ewing Athletics was planning to make a comeback sometime this summer. And then, after the official announcement, we let you know exactly what they were planning on bringing back once they relaunched—the Ewing Athletics 33 Hi Retro. At the time, we knew that they’d be releasing a gang of different colorways and we provided a look at what some of the older 33 Hi sneakers looked like. But, we didn’t get a glimpse of what the retro versions of the sneakers would like look. Well, we didn’t get a look until now.

Ewing Athletics has finally given us a preview—albeit a pretty cryptic preview—into what the 33 Hi Retro sneakers will look like. As you can see in the photo above, they provided a look at the heels of the home and away New York Knicks colorways, the Chicago Bulls red-black colorway, and a pretty basic black/white colorway as well. As expected, all four of the sneakers come with Patrick Ewing‘s old jersey number “33″ on a strap above the heel over top of “EWING” on the heel. From what we can tell, there really aren’t too many noticeable differences (at least from this angle) between Ewing’s old-school sneakers and the retro versions.

Unfortunately, that’s all we’re getting out of Ewing Athletics—for now. They still haven’t announced exactly when these will drop (hopefully before the end of the month, guys?) and they haven’t told us how much we’re going to need to get our hands on these yet. But, now that Jason Kidd is heading to the Knicks, all you Knickerbocker fans might want to think about pairing your new Kidd jersey with some of these 33 Hi Retro kicks. We’ll be sure to let you know when and where you can buy them soon.
