Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta Star Rasheeda Talks Stevie J, Mimi, Joseline Messiness, And Toya And Memphitz

Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta is undeniably a very messy show. Perhaps the messiest thing about it is the love triangle involving producer Stevie J, his baby mama and girlfriend Mimi, and his jump off/artist, Joseline Hernandez. From public confrontations to an unplanned pregnancy, it’s unbelievable that Mimi has stuck around for as long as she has. One person who’s just as thrown off about the situation as the rest of us that tune in every Monday night is the trio’s co-star, Atlanta rapper Rasheeda. During a recent interview with Cherry On Top, she said of the drama:
“It couldn’t be me. I just couldn’t even be in that type of situation, straight up. I ain’t got nothing against nobody but it’s just crazy. But this is the thing, you know, the crazy part about it is it’s a situation that happens a lot, not to say verbatim, like that, but the baby mama, with the dude be out doing whatever the hell he want to do and trying to flex like, at home, everything is great. That sh*t is so typical, but, you know the way that their situation is is quite different, and it’s just something I would not tolerate, but that’s just me.”
Describing Mimi as being “in a tad bit of denial”, Rasheeda nevertheless expressed her hope that Mimi is finally about to make a move to cut off Stevie J, but said she hates that “it had to be brought all the way here for it to come to this”.
During her interview with Cherry On Top, Rasheeda also spoke on the controversy surrounding singer K. Michelle‘s revelation on the first episode of the show that she had been abused by an ex-boyfriend. After the episode aired, a buzz began to make the rounds that the ex she was referring to is Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, who’s accused of beating her and stealing money from her recording budget when she was signed to Jive Records. Memphitz, who’s now married to Lil Wayne‘s ex-wife and Rasheeda’s good friend Toya Carter, has since blatantly denied the allegations. But Toya, with the exception of a few subtle tweets (including one she tweeted last month during her Parisian vacation with Memphitz to celebrate their 1-year anniversary that said, “F$ck what u heard…. I don’t think they make em like this anymore. #ilovemyhubby”), has yet to speak directly about the controversy. According to Rasheeda, who has talked to Toya in the days since the controversy emerged, her friend is “going to stand by her husband” despite the accusations and opinions about who is telling the truth, ”and that’s exactly what she’s suppose to do until maybe she feels that there’s a reason for her not to.” The self-proclaimed “boss chick” acknowledged in the Cherry On Top interview that there are “3 sides to a story”, but insists that she’s never seen Memphitz in the light that her Love & Hip-Hop co-star described him.
