Dark Knight Rises Featurette: Inside The Mind Of Christopher Nolan

Submitted by on July 9, 2012 – 10:10 amNo Comment

I’m reaching my limit for Dark Knight Rises teasers. I’d actually prefer to not see any new footage, dialogue, or images from the film until that glorious moment on July 20th when I sit in a theater and the lights go down. That said, a new featurette about the movie, featuring interviews with director Christopher Nolan and the cast and crew, offers some fun insight into the process without spoiling anything. Check it out below:

Among my favorite insights is Nolan saying that he looked to silent film for inspiration for the visual scope of the movie. Imagine having a double header of DKR with The Artist? Two very different films representing some sort of 2011-2012 silent film infatuation!

I also continue to be stunned by the scope of the production. With that many extras and locations, Nolan and the producers seem more like they are wrangling small armies than creating a movie.

And I think we can relate to Tom Hardy‘s reaction upon seeing Christian Bale as Batman.

What do you think? Did this get you even more psyched for The Dark Knight Rises?
