Usher “Torn Up” Over Stepson He “Practically Raised”

As we reported here, Usher‘s 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover was declared brain dead a few days ago after being critically injured in an accident with a jet ski. While we continue to pray for Kyle, who’s the son of Usher’s estranged wife Tameka Foster, the R&B superstar is said to be completely “torn up” over his condition. A source told US Weekly:
“He grew close to Kyle and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka. He loved Kyle. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up.”
Not surprisingly, Usher has stepped up to support Tameka despite their recent (and very publicized) differences. The source said:
“Tameka and Usher don’t get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side. Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He’s known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened.”
Sometimes it takes something as heartbreaking as this to open people’s eyes to what’s important.
In other news related to this tragedy, it’s been revealed that the 38-year-old man who was driving the jet ski that struck Kyle and another child is a friend of the family. According to the NY Daily News, Jeffrey S. Hubbard of Atlanta is under investigation for the Friday afternoon collision. Investigators have already ruled out alcohol as playing a role in the accident.
