It’s no secret that AMC’s The Walking Dead was going to be a big hit at Comic Con 2012. That was a given. But when I saw the line wrapped around the Hilton Bayfront hotel, out of the doors and down the block, I felt just how big this was going to be. The super popular panel — which featured Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, David Morrissey, Robert Kirkman and others – gave us a look into what season 3 will be all about.

For those that have read the comic, go ahead and get excited. This season is about, as Kirkman smirked “a thing called prison.” If you haven’t read the comic you may be wondering what’s the big deal. Well, this has all been child’s play up until now because the prison is the darkest, gloomiest and most wicked storyline in the comic and it appears that most of that will hold true on the show. Without spoiling the comic, the prison setting is unforgivingly brutal to both the reader and the characters. Executive producer Glen Mazzara stated that the show will remain pretty faithful to the spirt of the comic. It’ll be interesting to see how far they go.

Also of note was the emergence of Michonne at the end of Season 2. The kitana wielding character will be a staple and we can expect her to be a centerpiece moving forward. Oh yeah, the cast will be going to Woodbury this season as well. The actors and actresses tried to say as little as possible in fear of spoilers but it does look like Rick Grimes will become the “Ricktator” we have been waiting for and his son’s story arc will be one to watch. Yeah, we’re geeked. But check out the trailer below and get even more hyped for the show’s October 14th season premiere.

This game truly NAILS down everything you really like about Scott Kirkman’s The Walking Dead; the stress, the climate, the placing, the planet, how a account will go. Merely every little thing, the comic images. (The Walking Dead actually is a comic sequence in case you didn’t realize) Regretfully, I never obtained the chance to examine all the publications. The story is excellent and their is actually a lot of surprises! Ought to buy!
