One of the biggest stories to come out of Comic Con was the next wave of films Marvel would be putting out to build up to the follow-up to the massive Avengers movie. “Phase 2″ will include the expected new Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America films (still no announcement on another Hulk movie). What you perhaps didn’t expect are films for Ant Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy. How exactly they will tie in to the Marvel movie universe has yet to be determined but take a look at the poster art below.

Iron Man 3 (5/3/13)

Thor: The Dark World (11/8/13)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (4/4/14)

Guardians of the Galaxy (8/1/14)

Ant Man (TBA)

Yes, there will be a “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie featuring Star Lord, Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Rocket Raccoon.  This could be really awesome considering that it is expected to be the final film before The Avengers sequel is released. How does it tie in exactly? Well, considering that Thanos will be the villian in the new Avengers film, it’s only right that the Guardians have to deal with the space titan as they did in  ”The Thanos Imperative.” Not to mention that Drax is heavily tied in to Thanos. This could be awesome. Marvel also released concept art for the film.

Ant Man doesn’t have a release date, but the rumors are swirling that Ant Man will be in a post-credits scene from Iron Man 3 where he confronts Chen Lu.

Are you excited yet?
