What Would Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Rihanna, & Others Look Like If They Weren’t Famous?

Celebrities spend hundreds, perhaps even millions of dollars to look their best. They work out to exhaustion in the gym and follow organic diets to stay in tip-top shape. Stars enlist the help of professional hair, makeup, and fashion stylists to ensure that they are ready for their closeups when they hit the red carpet. And, let’s not even talk about the facelifts, nose jobs, lip fillers, botox injections, boob jobs, and other nip/tucks that many famous people employ in an attempt to turn back the hands of time and stay young forever. But, what if they were regular people without the bottomless bank accounts to fuel their obsession for physical perfection? One artist has an answer.

With his hilarious celebrity make-under series, Planet Hiltron creator Danny Evans re-imagines some of your favorite celebrities stripped of their glitz and glamour and “presents them as duller versions of themselves – maybe a little frumpier, heftier or a little plainer,” he told the Daily Mail. “Basically just stripping away their cool personas.”

The results aren’t pretty. Kanye West looks like’s been eating too much of the soul food Kim Kardashian has been cooking, Beyonce‘s luxurious locks are gone and replaced with bad bangs, Madonna‘s wrinkly skin actually reflects her 53 years on earth, and Miley Cyrus just looks bad with an outdated curly perm.

“I always find it interesting to see what’s left after the Hollywood has been scrubbed off,” Evans admitted. “My intention wasn’t necessarily to age them, but to strip them of their Hollywood facade. That has more or less been my general goal with this series all along.”

Check out the stars, including Jay-Z, Brad Pitt, John Travolta, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more, below. What do you think of Evans’ “real-life” portraits?
